Name that Bumper

I don't have a pic but maybe I can describe it enough that someone will know the brand.

It's old school type stuff. It fits around the stock bumper like a push bar. It mounts to the Uni-frame, wraps around the bumper, mounts to the front of the bumper, then has a rectangular brush guard. The winch mounts in the center (obviously). It doesn't stick out front a great deal. It's very plain.

I have seen this on forest service XJ's before... and on a few xj's years ago before there were many aftermarket bumpers for XJ's.


If anyone has any idea of a manufacturers name that has a bumper like this, please post up.

Sounds like a Ramsey or Warn mount.

I have seen 'grill guards' that fit this description by Manik and Smittybuilt.
The Smittybuilt 'Bumper Thumper' mounts to the frame like this.

Sounds like my warn winch guard mount thing...whatever the hell you call it.

I think what you are talking about is the factory offered OEM grill guard. It was constructed of 2X2 tubing and bolted to the tow hook brackets and the stock bumper. I had one for several years, I have pictures....just not with me now.
