when i make a left turn sometimes i hear a little popping or grinding sound coming from what sounds like the rear of the car? any idea what this could be??

I'm sorry we don't know anything about cars here :lecture: - but lets say you had a Jeep, then I would say post some more info on what you have. For example, engine, tranny, transfer case, rear axel, are you running any lift, what size tires etc etc, just anything you can think of will help the guys on this board to figure your problem out.

Discounting that the noise might be coming from the rear.
Could be a ujoint. If you keep turning left in a circle, do you just get one pop, or does it repeat?
Do a search for pop, or clunk...it might give you some ideas as to what you might try, and what to listen for.
You could try jacking up the front/rear and spining the wheels by hand ... listening and feeling for noises.
