Need quick help with finding toruble codes

How do you find the codes on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I tired one way that I could remember and it didn't display any codes. What is the correct what to retrieve codes on a 2k cherokee??

I don't know that you can pull the codes off the newer ones, but check out http://allpar.com/fix/codes.html and see if anything in there works for you. Otherwise, go to Checker, Autozone or wherever you've got locally so they can pull the codes. Get the codes and interpret them but don't buy whatever they claim is bad...bring it back and we can double-check the results.
