ok it sounds like it may be the chain in my 231 but its coming from further forward than that, I noticed it after I pulled out my rubber floor mats. I changed my front u- joints and all of my fluids. T-case fluid was a bit dirty, Front axle lube was quite a bit sparkly, but I am breaking in a true trac and new gears so i am assuming this is normal. All said and done the noise is still there, much worse when 4wd is engaged. any Ideas. left it at the dealership today and they said my transmission was making noise. They also told me tough cookies on my rough start problem. too many mods, they wont touch it. at least they didn't charge me for that.
