KMart get a new CEO from Yum Brands(read: Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, A&W, LJ Silvers) and then buys Sears.

Would you like a taco with that wrench?
I don't like my local KMart because they have half the selection of Walmart, The stores is dark (turned off many of the lights), and the prices are not that competative.
However, a blue light special on Craftsman tools might be interesting.
EDIT: Duh...Should of have read the Wallymart thread first. This apparently is old news :wierd:

Kinda sounds like two drunks trying to hold each other up, wait, didn't somebody say that about Packard and Studabaker when they merged after they were left out of what became AMC?
Kinda had to laugh at what Dad said about the blurb he heard on the radio yesterday. What he first heard was a bit backwards and he was suprised that Sears would lower themselves to buy K-Mart.
Is it me, or does this merger remind you guys of Dailmer Benz/Chrysler Corp. merger a few years back?

It makes me think of when HP bought Compaq a few years ago. Somehow, the only inventory that remained after that merger was Compaq stuff...hopefully at least the Craftsman line will remain instead of whatever crappy Chinese tools K-Mart has.
Sears + K-Mart...does that make S-Mart?

:D S-Mart...
See this? This is my boom stick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. *You got that*?
