R.E. Track Bars

My question is will the RE1660 HD track bar fit my XJ with a 4" lift? Or should I use the RE1660 Track bar? The RE1660 says for 4-6" of lift and the RE1600 says 2.5-5.5" of lift. Any help would be great! Here is the website too:

Get the heavy duty one and you will need the frame mount also

I concur - go with the heavier RE1660, but you need the RE1665 bracket as well. If you want to get real fancy you can even add the RE1670 Trackbar brace with that; it crosses under the oilpan to bolt to the far side of the 'frame'

does the RE1665 bracket have to be welded on or is it a bolt on??

It's a bolt-on in place of the stock piece.

keep in mind the 1600 is spec'd w/ their 4.5" kit, so for your 4" lift i'd say you'd be fine (i'm running one w/ my RE6130 kit). their 2004 catalog says the 1600 can be used up to 5.5" of lift... interestingly i noticed their 2005 catalog says up to 4.5"

guess if you can afford it, or think you'll go higher than 4", get the HD unit. otherwise save your money and get the 1600.
