I went down to 4 Wheel Parts (barf) and bought some 6* shims. they have a slight curve to them like they are for an axle over. Do I use them or take them back?

i would say that if the curve was on the angle on the shim that yes it was for a spring under

Take them back. You want shims that are flat on both sides.A good front end shop should have some.

I ordered a set of 6° shims and they came the same way. I called Skyjacker (who's shims they where) and asked them. Yup, it's for a spring under, grrrrr..... I had a friend mill the curve off.
