Speed Sensor for Chevy EFI

'87 XJ AX5, was 2.5l, soon will be '95 Camaro 3.4l EFI. Looks like the transfer case number = 234, but that doesn't match anything in the manuals .....

I am looking for the speed sensor, or a way to attach one. I am thinking I could get a different connector for the speedometer cable at the transfer case, or a different speedo cable.

I'm not sure about using a CPS, let alone I'm not sure my XJ has a CPS ..... I'm looking thru my manuals for this info ......

Any suggestions on what to use as a speed sensor?

I finally stumbled onto what I wanted.

Reading up on cruise control, it mentioned a speed sensor, but the manuals I have didn't mention where it was located. So I went to the bone yard and poked around in a '88 XJ with cruise control. I found a speed sensor under the dash, in line with the speedo cable, at the firewall. Go figure. I hope it works.

Maybe this week I will have my XJ running on the Camaro 3.4l!
