Hi All,
Just bought a 94 4.0l XJ. What spares would you carry on a trail?
thanks

Depends on how hard and how far off of the trail you’re planning on going wheeling.
The most important thing you should have is a tow strap and someone else to wheel with.
As far as spares? U-joints(you’ll also need a tool or some way of replacing them in the sticks), fluids, various hose clamps, fuel pump, an axle shaft if you’re feeling unlucky, spare front & rear diff gaskets, serpentine-belt , alternator, water pump, t-stat & gasket, various fuses, … and don’t forget the duct tape and JB-Weld.
My favorite tool: 6lb. Sledgie!(BFH)

yes siry bob, duct tape and jb-weld. go through bunches of that stuff. heck even my kids use the stuff. guess they musta been watchen dad. "Now childrens, you can fix ANYTHING with a little duct tape and jb-weld." lol, dang I should by stock in the stuff. You show right RTicUL8. It really is good stuff.
Maybe this is too obvious but a tire of the right size and a patch kit.
I also bring a handheld CB in addition to my mounted CB. It's handy for when I leave the vehicle or if someone's mounted CB quits like mine did last trip.

OoowhEEE Meathead40! Sounds like y'all gotcha too much epoxy holding on those eyeballs on that-there fancy brown hat of urs.
Just messin' with ya! Even though I live in Colorado now, I used to live in Texas for 8 years (Cleburne & Weslaco) - not that I miss it though

Don't forget about a decent quality fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Just in case YOU need repairing as well as the jeep.

Electrical kit doesn't hurt. Like the others said, go with a buddy. Splitting the 'what if' costs helps a lot.
