Hey guys:

Does anyone know of a good source to get aluminum plate or blocks at a decent price?

I'm looking for 6061 in roughly these sizes;

All will be 11 x 16 iches by a depth of;
.375
.5
.75
1.5

Figured this would be the place to ask. :)

TIA

I buy most of my metal from Shapiro. They have been great to work with. They will sell about any size I've ask for.
http://www.shapirosupply.com/

their catalog is really outdated so you have to call and check availability and prices. Danno

Just something IŽd thought IŽd throw in, I happened scross a an aircraft surplus warehouse. Place is huge, all sorts of exotic metals, wiring harnesses, heim joints, check valves, hydrolic pumps, feel like a kid in a candy store. Always wondered what they did with the stuff they striped off of old airplanes. :D Like a trip to the junk yard, only cleaner.

Yeah, a buddy of mine suggested that the other day. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks.
