With no fear of political repercussions at the election polls (theoretically), how long before clean-up time in Iraq REALLY begins?
I'm guessing the assault on Fallujah begins within 1 week...
Time to do it right, get it over with and bring our troops home :us:

I was thinking we could just suit up Kerry again, but he'd just be a real downer..

Next week ?? Hmmm, noted on the news report that there was CAS going on there last nite. Now don't know about you all but when someone using cas or "Close Air Support" it's usually used for specific targets that are called in 'close' like 500meters danger close, well maybe a 1000... I'd bet it's already under way.... the question is do the reporters know what it means when the fist teams call in cas :D :D

I'd just like to thank the rest of the country for voting for BUSH. Being a republican on the West Coast is like ****ing in the wind. I thought at least oregon would have gone to Bush. I guess all the tree huggers from here in CA migrated north. It sucked voting for Bush in CA since I knew my vote wouldn't really matter anyway. Rant over.

Yea no kidding, IIRC even WA went to Kerry (i am ashamed).Yeah, what's up with that? The Left Coast and New England...Edwards couldn't deliver a single state in the South, much less his own home state.

Thank God Bush Won, now its time for him to be Kicking ass and Taking NamesHmm, I think I like the "Duke Nukem" version a little better:
"It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of gum!"
The sentiment is about right - we're long overdue to drop the really heavy end of the hammer on the insurgents...

U.S. Soldiers Storm Part of Fallujah
2 minutes ago Middle East - AP
By JIM KRANE, Associated Press Writer
NEAR FALLUJAH, Iraq - U.S. forces stormed into the western outskirts of Fallujah early Monday, seizing the main city hospital and securing two key bridges over the Euphrates river in what appeared to be the first stage of the long-expected assault on the insurgent stronghold.
An AC-130 gunship raked the city with 40 mm cannon fire as explosions from U.S. artillery lit up the night sky. Intermittent artillery fire blasted southern neighborhoods of Fallujah, and orange fireballs from high explosive airbursts could be seen above the rooftops.
Ahhh... The soothing gentle buzz of a "spooky"
