I don't know about the rest of you guys but in the past 4 months I've lost more family members/friends/aquaintances then I did in last 10 years (on top of it none natural causes!). As a result I've been to more funeral services than I ever cared to go to. Also in the past 6 months I've experienced more accidents/seriuos sickness and other oddities in the same circle then in my whole life. I know that things happen but come on, what are the odds! And what really sucks about this, there is nothing I (nor anyone else) can do. This feels like a year from hell and I can't wait for it to be over!
Anyways, what I'm getting at is enjoy life everyone, just don't overdo it. Also enjoy people around you and everything else as well.

All I can tell ya is that it does get better. Welcome to my Freshman year of college. I lost three of my friends in one accident, had 3 others kill themseves, on seperate occassions, and lost my remaining 2 grandparents.
Just keep a positive outlook and you'll be good.

Dont feel alone. I lost a grand parent(age), my closest uncle that i could relate to(car accident), my dad had an affair and my parents are divorced, my mom has not worked in years now she has to take car on her own and to top it all off I lost my job and i am now working at a gas station as a clerk making half of my previous pay barely being able to pay my bills and i live with my mom. But I know my caravan is coming to see better days. :sunshine:

unfortunatly I have to be at a funeral tomorrow for an 18 month old. poor little guy, he was a trooper. So I feel for ya... I have been to more funerals than job interviews... I feel as though I use my suit way too often and I still don't have a real job.

Remi, you need to seek some spiritual enlightenment. I not saying that death and illness are a piece of cake. Our lives here are earth are just a big testing ground. I invite to you seek out truth in all things. With that understanding, those things that have troubled you lately will have won't seem so overwhelming. It will help bring purpose to those who have past on or suffered.

i can sympathize, i lost 5 good friends from 101st (all in helo crashes) downrange, and a couple of friends from 1ad as well. i try to live each day to its fullest, roll with the punches, and i take what life dishes out, and hope i didnt grab the sh*t sandwich of the day.

I just went thru a year like that. Most everyone I know rides and I lost 6 last year, all due to some asshat turning left in front of them. Lifes like that tho, some ups and some downs. The downs suck but I try to just remember the good times we had. As for spiritual enlightenment....that's a personal thing and some believe and some don't. Some in differing degrees.

Thanks guys. As pointed out, life has it's ups and downs and probably the most frustrating part is the inability to change the inevitable. I guess all one can hope for is that the next day, month, year will be better.

Chuck, sage words.
Remi, I to have known those types of events you lament. It is how we choose to define the events of yesterday, be they what they may, that is who we are tomorrow. Life is full of those events that are far more that we alone can handle. Our hope lies in our ability to give that which overwhelms us over to whom it is that is stronger.

Truer words were never spoken.
