Anyone know if you can remove the fan to replace the gasket easily. Water comes in anytime it rains. I live in Southeast Alaska and guess what....it rains more than anything else.
please help.......

I assume you mean the heater fan, not the radiator fan? It's located low on the firewall and removes easily from the engine compartment side with three screws holding it in place. However, I seriously doubt that's the source of your leak. Two more likely suspects would be (a) the windshield itself, and (b) the sheet metal trough under the vent cowel, where your ventilation air comes in. I haven't had a problem there, but others have reported that upon removing the cowel cover, there was an open seam in the metal that forms the trough under the cowel and water could leak in there.

Mine leaks through the fan also. I know it leaks there because I fed water to that area one day and it came trough the foam around the fan. I tried to use silicone sealant around the foam, but apparently I did not do a good enough job. I slowed it down, but did not eliminate the leak. If anyone has a better solution, let me know.
Thanks.
