swap 231 to 242 from auto to ax-15, same drive shafts??

Ok Iv'e searched and found everything but the answer to one question.

Swaping a 242 from a 4 door XJ with an aw4 in to a 2 door with an ax15/231
do I need different drive shafts or will the existing ones work?

Think you'll have to just bolt things all up and measure to be sure. The 242 did not come stock behind a manual tranny, only the auto..although they will bolt up the same if the input shafts are the same spline count. There is one guy on here running a 242/AX15 combo (I'm planning on swapping one in behind my AX5 in my MJ soon too), so an answer to your question might not be easy to get.
