how many zerts?

I found 8 zerts on the front end of my 96' xj. I was told that they only come in sets of 6, 7, or13. Is there normally 8, or should i scour the thing for more?

are you talking about grease zerKs? on a stock XJ there are on the tierod ends, the tracbar at the frame mount and on the driveshaft u-joints (sometimes) and the balljoints sometimes. That's about it. I think.

Hmmm I can only think of 7 on the front end

2 on the upper ball-joints
1 on the trackbar at the frame mount
4 on the steering tie-rod ends

Maybe 8 if ya count the one midway up the front driveshaft...

Plus 2-5 more if ya have servicible-type axle/driveshaft U-joints
