control arm bushing question

im trying to get the control arm bushing screws out, but i think they're welded on which to me seems really odd. its either that or my 87 mj is just too old and rusty to be able to tell. so does anyone know whether or not they're welded or am i able to just screw them out? its a round nut that doesnt reveal the screw

The bolt I think you are talking about goes through a metal sleeve bonded to the center of the control arm bushing. It is common for the bolt to rust solid to this sleeve, making it impossible to remove by normal means. About the only way to get it out is to cut the bolt apart with what ever method you have available; cutting torch, hack saw, reciprocating saw, etc.

try getting a bigger hammer (and a pin/other bolt) to pound on

Try pb blaster/liquid wrench

yeah BFH is about all i needed...
can you spin them and "thread" them out using the thrads to spin aginst the gunk inside?
