I am assuming an MJ shaft is longer than that of an XJ, so as an attempt to get around having to buy a SYE, I want to get my hands on one. Anyone have one to sell? My logic or assumption wrong? THANX

Yeah, try the Wanted board.
Doubt just a longer shaft will help unless you have a double cardon joint at the tcase end. Still seems like booty fab. Tom Woods kit is very reasonable and easy to install. I'd just do that.

It's longer!
Like 10" to 24" depending on if it's a short bed or long bed.
Might have to make some adjustments to the XJ to make one of them fit.

When I originally lifted the Comanche, I had a new shaft made for the lift. Mine was 2" short at the time.
I wanrted to have it lengthened, so off to the shop I went. My suprize was that , as a two piece (one shaft inside of another with rubber to mask any vibrations) driveshaft.....they could not lengthen the design. It's still down in the shop now.
It will be too long for your application...
You cannot shorten it due to the above listed reason....
And the SYE kit is the bast and most practical use of $500 in any XJ..... over ANY other mod.
