Todd, not sure if you got my im.
The noise/clunk I was experiencing when shifting while stationery, and the vibes were two things: the cv joint of the rear ds dry as a bone and about to pop, and two of the cups of the rear ujoint running with what seemed like no needles in them any more.
At about 20 mph the rear ujoint blew, I limped home about .5 miles w/o destroying th ds totally. The 8.25 yoke was totalled. I should heeded all the warnings and this mess could have been prevented - I was too lazy, though :nono:
The tc is fine, but I was told as speed the tc sometimes grenades with a broken rear ds.
Would have gotten back to you sooner, but I was switching from horrendous verizon dsl back to excellent (but highway robbery) cable modem.
sorry, good luck.
