brakes - proportioning valve for D44 swap?

I have a 2000 XJ and have swapped in a rear D44. The D44 has larger, wider brakes, so of course it stops much better than the 8.25 it replaced.

I can lock the rears (33s) pretty easily just stepping on the brakes on pavement.

Is there a [simple] OE swap solution to solve the brake proportioning problem?

If not, is there a recommended adjustable proportioning valve?

Anyone play with installing one with the control in the cab?

Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve, available from Summit Racing.

The Mopar Performance Catalog also shows an adjustable proportioning valve. Looks like the Wilwood, and probably is.

You can mount it under the hood, or re-route the rear line through the cabin so the valve is accessible while driving.

Thanks! Should I pull the factory one, or leave it there?

$40 is pretty good from Summit too.

Any opinions on the lever vs the knob?
