porting and junk

Alright, so now that i have most of the intake taken care of (via a tbs and a cai), but i would like to know about porting the intake manifold/engine. I know about what it does, but I'm looking for some guidance. Also, i would like to know what headers are good for the ol' XJ and exhust combos. I figure I'll start with "bolt ons" and see where that leaves me.

A 4.0 with all the bolt-ons will be putting out about 225hp. A ported head could push that figure up to 235-240hp but the torque gains from that will be almost entirely from 3000rpm upwards. If you want to port your head, take a look here:
