I finally did a real write up.

Cost me all of about $40 for the sensor, soldering iron, junction block and wiring.

So does the keyless entry work and all of the computer functions too? ...or just the compass and temp?

Yup, everything still works as normal. I will try to put some pics up this week, just too lazy to get my camera from my parents house.
