Stock Slip Yoke from a YJ? (Rear Output Shaft)
Instead of a TCase drop? Apparently they allow the rear driveshaft to flex a bit more without hitting the yoke.

I've used both on my 93' with a Manual transmission. When at 3" I would get a terrible knocking when trying to climb a hill, installed the Ex-SY, knocking when away. Later lifting to 4.5 and then 6.5" I added the 1" drop and had no vibes. Even after I added the AA SYE and new DS, It did not make that much of a difference to my drivetrain.
I guess in my case it has a lot to do with the MT, since my Driveshaft is already longer that those AT guys. :moon: :D

How hard is it to install one of those YJ puppies?

It's as simple as changing a U-joint. I would say a 2 on a scale of 5. Something a respectable 4 Wheeler should know how to do. Oh, also don't forget to bring a spare, those OEM DS's tend to twist through time and damage.
