WJ overhead console in XJ?

Anyone know if you can put a Grand Cherokee overhead console into a XJ? Wondering how well it fits and difficulty of installation. Is it a plug and go type thing?

It's not plug and play. Many mods will be necessary just to mount it to the XJ ceiling. None of the computer functions will work; ex: WJ & ZJ consoles don't speak XJ computer language.
Get yourself an XJ overhead and save yourself the brain damage.

Reguardless of the potential 'communication' problems, the dimensions are too restrictive in these XJ's. They are really quite small inside. The console contains the slots for the visor pins. No wasted space. Pretty important. Judd
