01 Steering Box in an 88

Will it work? Are they the same? Both w/PS...

I just put an '00 box in my '90. it has a lot more road feel. apparently jeep made a change in the spool valve around '98-'99 to give the driver more road feel/feedback. took a bit to get used to, but now I like it better than the original. the newer ones run the clear power steering fluid. I put on a new pressure hose and flushed out the pump with a couple of litres of the clear fluid and hooked 'er up.
