Anyone ever made a "false floor"?

I was thinking of making a 2x8 or 2x6 frame in the cargo area of my truck and making little cubbies for my flat tool boxxes, jumper cables, etc, and also using that as a place to flush mount my amp and some 6x8's....making a plywood top....carpeting it.....

....anyone ever done this? any pics?

I have but mine's not exactly a 'false' floor since it stands about 8" tall.

I did the same thing as Yucca, but used 2X4's and 3/4 plywood. Held up well, gave me a spot for straps, shovels, etc.

yeah, 6x8's were factory size in my Ford Bronco...I think they sound a little better than 6x9s too...closer to round....

gonna try and fit 6 1/2" in my doors since those were my Bronco front speakers too....
