UPS just dropped off my new OME steering stabiliser. I opened the box and found a bag of hardware with a 1-3/8" sleeve in it. Could someone please tell me what the sleeve is for? The label says this steering stabiliser is for XJ, YJ and TJ. Maybe the sleeve is not needed for XJ? Thanks in advance for your help!

Sleeve is not needed for the XJ.

my '98 had a tapered shaft on the bar end of the stabilizer and i needed the sleeve for the bolt on the OME stabilizer.

I used the sleeve on the frame end. When I got mine that end of the stabilizer was just the rubber bushing with no insert. Putting the sleeve in the rubber bushing gave me a much better & tighter fit on the frame end. The sleeve doesn't slip right into the bushing, but a little bit of clamping pressure causes it to seat well.
