I already knew my t-case was messed up, but my fluid looks like mercury. I ordered a rebuild kit and chain as Bezil suggested in a different thread, but wanted to know if this t-case is going to be trash, now that I saw the fluid? I know the chain is hitting on the side of the case as well, judging from the sound. This was all due to it running very low on fluid when I had a leak.

I hope to try and fix this on Friday or Monday and wanted to know what people thought. Am I living in a dream world thinking that a rebuild kit and chain from National Drivetrain is going to fix this problem or should I get more stuff?

Just rebuild it and you should be fine.

But fix the leak.
