Finally after two years, I made some progress on the coilover project.
This thing can almost stand on its own.
Ive had all these great parts sitting in my garage forever: Atlas, 37x17 MT/Rs on beadlocks, coilovers, Oilcoolers Hanson Bumper, Wilwood brakes etc. Theres still tons to do, plumbing, welding, putting the motor back together, timing, atlas Install, driveshafts, blah blah ( I have a list if anyone wants to see it :D )
At this rate you can definitly pencil me in for Moab 2006

Do you really think that a rear Dana 44 is going to hold up to 400hp and 37s? I would have at least a Ford 9" under there if not a Dana 60 or 14b.

Yes I do.
How many Splines in a 9" ?
Ive had that axle under there since 1995 with that engine.
Ive broken the ring and pinion three times, but in 10 years thats not bad at all.
Its also a Full Float axle with warn shafts now.

For those that care. Got the Jeep standing on its own finally.
I Posted a few pics but you can see more HERE (http://www.nmnetsys.net/hosted/progress/)
The rear is still at about 6-7" lift (hard to tell these days).
Heres a pic with the 37" MT/R on the back. As you can see its got to come up quite a bit.

You know, you suck.
Better move those rear backups or they'll be the first thing to go.

Probably easier to let them breakoff, then remove them.
Actually I leave the bolts semi loose and they rolled up last time I got that much departure.
I think the 37" spare on back will prob hit first this time :D
Its built as a Multi-purpose /expedition type rig, rather than all out rock-bunny.
