Gen light

Ok I need some help. My generator light keeps coming on. It comes on when my battery gadget goes below 10volts- as it should. But I don’t know why it comes on. This is what I have 1996 XJ SE. I have and Optima red top battery and it is only a year old. So I thought it had to be the alternator so I put a new one in. I have a remote start, AC, stereo Amp, winch (cables going to both ends of the jeep), power locks and Hella lights. But the truck does the same thing without even having any of them on.

Is there like a sensor that tells the alternator when to start charging the battery?

Could it be a bad computer?

HELP- any input would be appreciated.
