I knew I'd get your attention.

Where can I get a replacement driveshaft for my XJ?

I have the CV type and want a new one. My "RustBucket No. 1" needs a new one as it "pops" and "chatters" in 4WD. Kinda sucks, but isn't that the challenge of owning an XJ?????

The RB1 has a 3.5" RE lift. She started popping while Jeepin' up Pearl Pass in Colo. over the weekend.

Rather then troubleshoot and fix, I just wanna replace.

NO smartassed comments here, I'll just reciprocate.

So, all seriousness aside, I have two questions:

1. I'd do much better with double-carden wouldn't I???

2. How the heck do you measure a new one???

Thanks in advance to you for not making fun of me and not tossing peanuts in the chimpanzee cage.

ciao

I know that Tom Woods www.4xshaft.com and Rubicon Outfitters www.rubiconusa.com will take your measurements and build you a driveshaft. Did you determine wht the problem with your old shaft is though?

It's old and not long enough. Oh, you're talking about my front drive shaft.
