I have a 1990 XJ 4.0 AW4 and it idles pretty low. Yesterday I took of the throttle body, and cleaned it out really good.
This made practially no difference in my idle speed, but did seem to give me a slightly better throttle response.
Anyway, I moved the adjuster screw out a ways, and now I am idling at 1250rpms in Park/Neutral, and 1000 RPMS with the XJ in gear.
Is this too high of an idle, or just about perfect?
