running camp dick

i know that the river crossing dick is high but when it settles how hard of a trail is camp dick for a stocker?

There is one area that definitely requires attention. I have run it several times and have not gotten down this spot without hitting the gas tank skid. Once with my XJ, a friends TJ, and a Pathfinder. I think this is a great stocker trail but I would not do it without at least a gas tank skid. No way.

Had loads of fun watching a Buick LeSabre attempt to go up that trail one summer. He was right at the beginning of the trail where that little ranger booth is. Two rangers just stood there waiting for this car to go up. We asked them if they were going to let this driver know what he is up against. They replied 'Nope'.................... My buddy and I just looked at the driver and shook our head. Thankfully for the driver, he decided to back up and quit the attempt.

I went up Middle St. Vrain last Sat. I saw a few stock SUV's but I don't think I would of taken mine up there stock. I found this thread on CO4x4. Might help ya. http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=11161
