OK, so I'm daydreaming on the drive into work - after I spot a short-box 4x4 MJ on the highway.
This will whiz off some in here, but my background is sportscars and European cars in particular, so bear with me...I still like things that can turn & burn.
~ Shortbox MJ 4x4
~ Auto or 5-spd, your choice
~ Swap in the 242 t-case (the one with the Full-Time 4WD option)
~ Drop in a 4.7 stroker - you're after 260+ hp
~ You may want beefier axles, too
~ Upgrade discs in front, swap them into the rear
~ Maybe NOS if that's your gig
~ Lower the truck about 3 - 4 inches
~ Poly bushings everywhere
~ 18" rims and low profile rubber
~ Actually install LARGER swaybars front and rear (crazy-talk - I know)
Do we have the makings of a Syclone beater here...?
