When I installed my quick-lok (same thing, different brand) I did not have to remove the carrier...

You don't not need to remove the ring gear at least not on the 94 model. good luck.

This was the best write up I saw when I did mine. Some advise? Remember where your shims went, and hope you dont have a limited slip. Its actually pretty easy. Oh and you got all the tools?

Be sure to reinstall the thrust washers (on each side of the axle spiders) or the locker will STAY locked.
