good spots for wheeling, camping and fishing...

Hey,

I'm stuck in brooklyn most of the time and would like some ideas of good spots to go camping, wheeling, fishing, etc within 2-3 hours of NY... any ideas? I don't really want to go to a crowded campground full of people, I'd kind of like to camp out in the middle of nowhere...

ideally, I'd have to wheel out to the camp site, could fish there, cook fish, sleep, and wheel out. that would be a good trip to me.


any ideas?

Sounds to me like you're looking for the Catskills, or maybe the NJ Pine Barrens. You won't find what you're describing in Connecticut.
