alternator,extra battery

Hey Guys,It's time for me to upgrade the power supply.I want to install a 2nd battery,and get a more powerful alternator(sp?)any one who has info let me know.is the mean green worth the $?has any one used the battery isolator system,eg from pianless?all info appreciated. : )

i used an isolator from pepboys and i run 2 1000cca batteries just fine. One batt. runs the truck and the other runs my winch, offroad lights, aux. fan, and amp for the radio with no problems.
