remove frt diff

this might sound supid. I removed all the diff bolts butt i cant get the cover off. I 'm asking before i could do damage with screwdriner. any advice ?

I usually smack mine with a dead blow from the side, that usually will break it lose without denting the cover. If that doesnt work, I have a old spackle knife that I gently tap in between the cover and diff. I then work my around breaking the cover loose.

Somewhere many years ago I 'borrowed' a butter knife for just this purpose...after removing the bolts but leaving the top loosened, I use the knife to break the seal of RTV.

couple wacks with a hammer on the side should do it.
