This looks like a fun Day run, may incorporate some camping on Friday night. More details will be posted later, I'll find some pictures from last year too.

this will be a great run!!! if any are thinking of spending fri. nite there's free camping behind camp fresno at dinkey creek. this is the staging area for some of the other jeep runs.
once we get a idea of how many jeepers...we'll work on a time and departing location.

Sorry, but when you get the email notice I was hoping for a more constructive response.
I have Pics, I try to post them tonight, as far as brewer, it's an easy trail. I just mostly remeber the mosiquitoes.
I'll have to check with some friends or forrest service on when they may open. When I was at Bald, there was still a lot of snow. I know right now it's either snowing or raining. There is also Jose Basin, which is just at the top of the 4 lane before Shaver. It may become a plan 'B'.

It's mixed in with the last time we went to Bald. I'll call to night to find out what local group cleans up the trails. Maybe I can volunteer and help out. :D

great pics...let's hope it's open.
what do you feel the snow situation will be on bald mtn in 6 weeks?

By May 12 it's going to get in the 80's in Fresno, as for Shaver. It looks like the mid 60's, if there is nothing but sunshine from here on out, most of the snow should be gone. I would be prepared for a cold camping trip. :shiver:

Here's the latest, Red is usually open early June, Coyote is around Mid June, depends upon the snow. If the snow is gone, then they can clear the trail. With the way the weather has been we should consider and aternate run. I didn't hear anything about Brewer or Strawberry, but they are easier runs and should be open by June.
