Ok, here is how I see it. Yucca-man doesn't hold all the rep points. Everyone can dish out rep, but you can't give rep to the same person in a given period of time. You have to spread the rep around. It keeps one person from giving another 100 rep points by clicking constantly. So, like the little box says...spread some rep around!

All I know about it is that I'm "an unknown quantity at this poINT" - is there more to it?

YEAH MAN!!! The little scale insignia in the upper corner. When you like something someone has done you click on it. and you cn approve or disaprove of the post. Adding to , or decreasing Reputaion points.

At least i think you can go backwards. Someone in the hierarchy needs to explain this thing.

The problem is, is you have alot of good things to say, but I CAN'T give you anymore Rep. points until I spread the love around a little more.

But those of use who like your posts know you have ALL THE REP points !!

So there's a finite number of these 'rep points' on the board, and the more I gather them unto myself the more valuable they become to you all? Hmmmm....kinda like buying up all the stock and doling it out slowly for a nice, tidy profit (insert evil laughter here) :D

I don't think it is a finite amount, I think there is rep and you just hand out rep as you feel the need. The reason it is coming up "spread some around" is that the person spreading rep isn't spreading it to enough people before trying to give it to someone else.

Yup, there is no finite amount. I suggest the non member stop stalking the Member. Giving him points is fine when deserved.... having a web server tell you to knock it off is a sign. :)
apache module: no_stalking activated

Enron ring a bell ? Just make sure you move them before they go down in value?

Don't blame me that Yucca-man is more helpful than YOU !!

Enron? Try MCI - I worked for them and always set aside a nice, tidy chunk of paycheck to buy stock...always buying stock. X decided she wanted "her share" of my life so I sold it all and 'gave' her half (under court duress, of course). 6 months later, toilet paper was more valuable than MCI stock. If only I had given her paper shares with a stipulation that she hold them for a year. Dayumm...
