Ever since (Ithink) I installed the awesome headlamp harness upgrade in my XJ, I have been blowing out 12 Volt cell phone charger adaptors for my Nokia and then blew out 2 Samsung cell phones while plugged into my XJ's cigarette lighter. Any thoughts?

i have had 9 samsung phones they are junk phones. as to your problem check the voltage at your lighter may be low from dirt or ash . i dont think your lights have any thing to do with it .

Thanks for the response but I've blown out Nokia chargers as well

sounds like something got connected to the lighter socket or something has a short in it.... maybe drawing to much voltage in that area....
