Dash lights

I was wondering if someone had a picture or could tell me what all the indicator lights ment, an arrow lit up last night and i was wondering what the hell it ment

If the arrow was pointing up and you have a manual transmission then that, I believe, is the shift indicator light. It's supposed to tell you when to up-shift but mine is never right.

Sounds like the shift indicator. I pulled the light out on the one in my VW, and will probably do the same on the 87 XJ, as it keeps tellling me to up shift when I am in 5th gear.

It is vacumn activated thru the system afair when I traced it down once.
