i'm in the process of installing my aussie up front and have it all in the diff but i can rock it "rotationaly" one way then the other untill it hits the cross shaft is this normal there is a good amount of play.

YES,thats how they are!

Yup, that's normal. Got them in both front and rear and they were both like that.
