There are many of us around from the old "XJ Forum", and a group of us from before that. ;)

I still wonder what happened to "Subaru Boy". In 1998 at Moab, a Subaru headed out to one of the trails.... we never did see it again. Gotta give credit though....it made it further than that yello Land Rover thing did. LOL

How is everyone doing?

I have been out of action for a looooooooong time. Sold my xj :rattle: got married and had kids (well at least two are still on the way).

I am really missing the action though. Would love to get into a cherokee again but too much else to pay for right now.

I gotta say this place really turned into something else. Whats the membership at now? I remember when there was only 10 or so of us posting on the host sight. What was the name of it again? (long gone from my memory)

Looking at some of the mods guys have come up with really gets the itch going. Good old Johnny Joint lca's were the thing back when I used to post.

I think I will be coming back a little more often now and start putting together ideas for the next "project". I may not finish it for 10 years but at least it will be going.

Yep - of course, I was a lurker back then. You know, I kinda miss that two-tone blue color scheme.

I sent in my membership app two weeks ago, but haven't heard anything yet, which reminds me - what's the usual processing time for postal applications?

Maybe I'll get lucky and events will yet conspire to allow me to fly my member's colors at NACFest...

I sent the "forum" guy $15. Then he disappeared a week later. The check was never cashed.

Yo Fox........things have changed a little.........

Hope you can get a project rig started, the best way is to buy an XJ as a driver for your wife......she'll either dig it or want to trade you vehicles......either way, you win!

"its a real bitch when your vehicle is rendered "unfit for trail duty" by a 30-cent o-ring"........I'd totally forgot about that........as I recall we ran several mildly lifted, open diffed XJ's up Widowmaker that day........Russ Phillips still has the yeller D-90, but I haven't seen it on a real trail yet.

Changed a little is right. I left right about the time NAXJA was formed. Kinda wish I had joined then that way I could have one of those really low #'s beside my name too.

Unfortunately with two more kids on the way we "had" to buy a minivan (ugh) and there is now way I am buying a cherokee for her if that means I get the van.
