Boise - A federal judge ordered the Bureau of Land Management to close several pastures in the Jarbidge Resource Area to livestock grazing. The order is the result of a lawsuit filed by the Western Watersheds Project and the Committee for the High Desert in November 2002. The groups contend that grazing in the area damages bull trout habitat. The bull trout is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
