8.25 noises

I am building my 99 to 33's and prob. 35's at some point in the future (possibly now). I have read quite a bit about the gears noise problem with this axle, how common is it really and how bad is it. Is there anything that can be done to help prevent the problem and is there any one MFG'r that is known for being a commonly quiet.

I have Yukon 4.56 gears and with about 15k on them, they do get a little noisy about 85-90mph, but other than that, they are pretty quiet.

i have 4.56 yukon gears w/about 5000mi on them and they are still quiet. buy from randys ring pretty good customer service. just be very specific

I'm running superior 4.56, haven't had any problems yet. Only have about 3,000 miles on them though.

For those of you that are running 4.56's what size tires are you running and what kind of rpm's are you running at around 75.
