Sorry this is late getting out, been pretty busy.
These are the minutes from our last Chapter meeting on May 22nd.
5/22/04 NAXJA IC Chapter meeting, 3:00 pm.
8 Members attending
-Summer Trips
June - Possible camping trip at Jerry's cabin along with a possible cleanup in Providence Canyon to help the Forest Service. Date still to be decided.
July - Possible Rock Creek trip 16th & 17th.
August - Camping in Uintas. Dates discussed are 20th - 21st.
Jeff T. brought us up to date on his meeting with the Forest Service. He said everything went great and offered NAXJA's help with trail cleanup or anything else we might be able to do. Jeff advises that NAXJA IC and the local 4WD community have developed a good working rapport with local land managers. NAXJA IC may be able to help out in Providence Canyon in June sometime. Jeff will keep us updated.
Stickers/Decals - Still getting issues worked out but we are getting closer, stay tuned.
Issue brought up for NAXJA IC to possibly join the Utah 4-Wheel Drive Association (U4WDA) as a club member. Pros and cons discussed as well as the $50.00 annual fee. Members decided it would be a good idea to be associated with U4WDA. Jerry H. motioned to make NAXJA IC a member of U4WDA, Joe F. seconded the motion. Motion was put to a vote which was unanimous to make NAXJA IC a club member of U4WDA. Confirmation of membership from U4WDA is forthcoming and will be announced to the chapter when the application and funds have cleared.
Joe F. advised members of current chapter finances. Just about $700 in chapter account currently from donations, Moab bbq and Moab raffle after expenses. Looking really good!
Jeff announced that the Intermountain Chapter will be in charge of co-ordinating trails for NAXJA's October Fall Fling this year (Oct. 6th-9th). This should be exciting for us.
All members and potential members are encouraged to make it to the meetings. The more ideas the better! If you know anyone with an XJ, please invite them to one of our meetings.
