where to put guages/switches

Anybody make some nice pannels to put guages in? I was thinking of building something in front of the shifter big enough to hold a couple of guages and some switches The change tub would give some room for wiring and such. Would make the ashtray useless but dont care.
Plan B was to use the storage compartment under the glove box (89).

Need a place to put a tranny temp guage (mechanical sender water temp guage), oil press, and other various switches.

Just looking for other Ideas or pics

I've also seen where someone put a gauge and switches in the same place as mine.

Egauges

Quadratec has a pod that will fit on top of the dashboard. They are made for the TJ and replace the change holder up there. However they can be stuck on the dash of the XJ with little or no problem, either screwed or velcroed. I think they cost about $29 or $39 bucks. Should be no problem sticking 3 normal sized gauges in there plus a couple of switches.
