Thanks I will have to check. What about my gear ratio? Does a site exsist that lists all the specs, and options for a certin model year?

Well, I'm not sure offhand about the five speed, but the stock gearing for an automatic XJ with a 4.0 is 3.55:1.

manual on a 96 is 3.07, at least mine was.
