View Full Version : Giveaway XJ Contributions

Reminder: All the chapters are doing something toward the giveaway XJ project. I would like the NAC to donate the set of tools that's planned for the vehicle. If at all possible, I'd like to be able to buy a set of tools by mid-May to transfer to the giveaway truck when it's at NACFest, which is rapidly approaching.
To date I've received 3 contributions, which is a start but won't go very far. If each member of the NAC could donate $5 or $10 I think we'd be able to scare up a decent set of tools, and maybe have a couple of $$ left for the general fund (which is rather thin at the moment). The plan, though, is to spend contributions on the tools, not use them to build the treasury.
Anyone who cares to contribute can send donations to me at:

Thanks in advance. Hope to see y'all at NACFest

Thanks for the friendly reminder. Do you have a paypal account that we could send contributions to? If not, do you prefer check or money order?
Thanks,
Bryan

While the chapter does not have a Pay Pal account, NACFest does.
If you would like to help out and contribute to the North Atlantic Chapter's contribution to the GiveAway XJ, you can use account:
nacfest03@att.net
Just make sure you clearly identify that this is a contribution for the GiveAway XJ, since that account is also used for NACFest registration (are you coming?) and NAC sticker sales as well.
Thanks.

Last time I check there were several things needed for the XJ. This is NOT directed to the NAC (unless you don't donate!) If you feel like NAXJA has helped you then you should feel compelled to donate to the Giveaway XJ! I have learned soooo much from the fine folks here and saved sooo much that I donated. This is a call out to all the members to give a couple $$$$ toward the XJ! Five from every one here would get a lot of items that are needed. So come on guys, I know times are tough, but this is for our club and our passion! So anti up boys and girls!;)

NAC folks, we're just a month away from NACFest, and we're a LOOOONG way from buying a decent set of tools for the project XJ. A couple of people have said they'll chip in more than my suggested contribution, but with the number of people we have in our region that shouldn't be necessary. If even half of our chapter members would chip in $5 or $10 we would have plenty of $$$ for a good set of tools.
Is anyone out there?
TIA

Eagle, should I address the check to you or to NAXJA NAC?

To me. This is separate from the chapter and event business, so we're not running it through the chapter account. If you make it out to NAXJA NAC I'll have to send it to PA for deposit into the account, then someone just has to take it back out again.
I won't spend it all on wine, women and song -- or Jeep parts. I promise.

Mike or Eagle: This is my first trip to the NACfest. I'm getting rid of some stuff and wonder if you think anyone could use a used spare tire, R225/75, the original tire on my '98 or a 22" plastic tool box. I just hate to throw this stuff out but I don't want to haul them to Paragon if you don't think anyone could use them. I don't want to start a swap meet either.

I was gonna do the same thing too. I have a Husky impact wrench that I can donate. (Used twice, if that's okay)
I can also bring a plastic toolbox, a shackle, and a couple misc tools.

Guys:
I'm not sure what Eagle has in mind for the tool kit, so I would recommend a PM to him regarding anything you might want to donate.
Regarding bringing extra stuff to NACFest. My recommendation would be to bring parts that you need to support your own truck, unless someone specifically makes some inquiries here. No sense in lugging the extra weight.
