dead XJ

I've had a small reoccuring problem with my 91 XJ 4.0, where the engine would lose power momentarily. I replaced all fuel lines, fuel pump, filter, injectors, everything to do with fuel, it didn't help. This small problem became a big problem when my engine finally died and would not start again. It has spark, and it has fuel going to the cylinder. I took a wild guess that must be a sensor gone bad making the computer fire the engine in the wrong order. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem? I'm going to replace the crank position sensor tomorrow and see if it helps. any comments and suggestions are wanted. Please help.

The problem's definitely the CPS. Replace it and all will be good again.
